A small plug for my Flickr for any new followers. :) This blog is not the best way to browse through my photography since it only shows a few posts per page, so click the link and you can find it all there!

Getty - Coming to Fruition
The last time I blogged, it was regarding the developments with the possible sale of my “Bounce” image through Getty Images. That was two and a half months ago, and for that whole period I had not received any correspondence from them. As you can imagine, I thought the deal was dead and gone and that I had gotten excited over a sale that was not going to happen.
But as it turns out,...

Getty Update
This Getty stuff is all happening so quickly! After submitting my photo on the night of the previous post, the next day I received a message from one of the Getty photo inspectors. They wanted me to remove the Wilson logo and the number then resubmit it (so I guess that debunks the chances that it’s Wilson who wants to use it). I managed to edit out the logo and soon after my photo was...

Getty Contributor
I know I haven’t posted here in a while, and that’s because I haven’t been doing much photography lately. But, I’ve got some exciting photography-related news to share! Today I received an email from Flickr saying that a client of Getty Images is interested in licensing my photo, “Bounce” (a few posts down), and for this reason I’ve been invited to enroll...

A-Mayer-zing
So tonight I went to see John Mayer at the Sydney Entertainment Centre and boy was it a good night.
The night started with Orianthi as the opening act, and, to be completely honest, she was pretty mediocre. Maybe it’s just because I’m not really into her punk/rock/alternative style (although I used to be) or maybe I just really wanted to see John Mayer, but her performance...

Painting or Photograph? →
Alexa Meade treads the line between them, somehow using photography (and a little bit of paint) to make real people look like canvas art. Don’t believe me? Hit the jump to see for yourself.

Flickr Photo Madness
I’m freakin’ out! The first round of Flickr Photo Madness is this Thursday and I have no idea what to shoot! This annual invitation-only event takes the 64 best photographers from five of Flickr’s most popular competition/voting groups to compete in a knockout-structured competition until a champion emerges. I was lucky enough to be selected for the competition but it’s...

Brooke Shaden →
WARNING: If you are easily frightened by gore or horror images or are sitting in your room alone and late at night, I recommend viewing these images at a better time or not at all.
I stumbled upon the stream of photographer Brooke Shaden today, and was immediately amazed. It’s hard to describe her style, but it’s very distinct. It’s a mixture of surrealism with some horror and...
