One of the narrower stretches of Lake Tekapo on New Zealand’s South Island. The lake’s turquoise blue colour is natural; created by “rock flour”. The glaciers in the headwaters of the lake grind the rock into fine dust and these suspended particles in combination with sunlight create Lake Tekapo’s unique water colour.
